Girls´Day 2025

We had the pleasure of welcoming an enthusiastic group of 22 female students to our institute, giving them insights into the world of applied research.

After a brief introduction round, we started with an inspiring lecture by Sabine Scherbaum: “Smart – but fair: How smart is your smartphone?” The participants learned about the ecological footprint of their devices and how more conscious use of technology can contribute to sustainability.

Following the institute tour, it was straight into hands-on experiences: the students explored our labs, took a look inside the cleanroom, and got up close with current research projects.

We hope this day sparked the participants’ interest and motivated them to pursue their own paths in the world of science.
